Jedburgh Old and Trinity Church
We meet at least twice on a Sunday, offering different styles of worship each time. You are very welcome to join us any time.
Begins at 11:00am. This is our more traditional format of service. Morning Worship retains the more traditional structure and hymnody. Worship is organ lead, and there is a strong emphasis on teaching from the Scriptures. The service lasts for about 1 hour and 20 minutes with tea and coffee available afterwards.
Begins at 6:30pm. Evening Fellowship service is our more contemporary format, thus providing a form of worship that is more accessible to folks with little experience of Church. The Worship Group, which combines a mixture of rock and folk instruments, leads the worship element of the service and the use of AV equipment has helps provide a more engaging worship experience. On the second Sunday of the month teaching is provided by one of our teaching team, while informal Communion is usually celebrated on the final Sunday.
The service usually lasts for around one and a half hours and is held in the Boston Room of Kenmore Hall.
Border Worship Gathering
In partnership with around 10 other churches throughout the Borders region we host the Border Worship Gatherings. These are times of contemporary worship, teaching and prayer ministry that take place every two months in venues around the Borders region. One of the main aims is to provide encouragement to the Church as a whole: encouragement in unity, in growth in Christian maturity, and the opportunity to serve and grow in the gifts God has give each of us, while learning from each other through our differences.
